Basic Microneedling
Microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy)
Microneedling is a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment that uses a precision pen device with fine, sterile needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin. Each treatment is performed with a single-use, sealed needle cartridge, ensuring the highest level of safety and hygiene.
This process stimulates your body’s natural collagen and elastin production, improving skin texture, tone, and overall radiance. Over time, skin appears smoother, firmer, and more youthful.
Microneedling is ideal for addressing fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores, uneven texture, and mild pigmentation concerns.
Benefits:
-
Smooths and refines skin texture
-
Softens fine lines and early signs of aging
-
Improves the appearance of acne scars
-
Minimizes the look of pores
-
Brightens and evens skin tone
-
Enhances absorption of professional skincare products
Recommended Treatment Plan:
For best results, a series of 3–6 treatments is typically recommended, spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
Maintenance treatments can be performed every 3–6 months depending on your skin goals.
Who Is Microneedling Not Suitable For?
Microneedling is a safe and effective treatment for many skin types; however, it may not be appropriate for everyone. For your safety, this treatment is not recommended if you currently have any of the following:
- Active acne or inflamed breakouts in the treatment area
- Skin infections (including bacterial, viral, or fungal conditions)
- Cold sores (herpes simplex) in the treatment area
- Open wounds, cuts, or irritated skin
- History of keloid or abnormal scarring
- Severe rosacea, eczema, or dermatitis flare-ups
- Skin cancer or suspicious lesions in the area
- Recent radiation therapy to the treatment area
Microneedling may also need to be postponed or require medical clearance if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have used Accutane (isotretinoin) within the past 6–12 months
- Have recently had chemical peels, laser treatments, or other advanced procedures
- Have a history of slow healing or certain medical conditions

Aftercare
Recommendation for the Best Microneedling
CLEAN – Use a gentle cleanser and tepid water to cleanse the face for 72 hours post-treatment. Always make sure your hands are clean when touching the treated area, and do not use powered cleansing brushes for at least one week after your treatment. Keep pillow cases ultra-clean while your face is healing to avoid any risk of infection.
HEAL – We recommend Healing cream and post-treatment, as its properties are ideal to help heal the skin by soothing and lessening irritation.
HYDRATE – Following your Microneedling treatment, your skin may feel drier than normal. Hyaluronic Acid is an ideal ingredient you can use to hydrate and restore the skin back to perfect balance. Stay properly hydrated by drinking at least 64 oz of water each day
STIMULATE – In the days following your Microneedling treatment, and as the skin starts to regenerate, collagen-stimulating peptides are ideal to maximize the effects of the stimulation already started by the microneedling.
MAKEUP – Refrain from wearing makeup for at least 24 hours (the more days you can spend bare-faced, the better)
PROTECT – Immediately after the procedure, your skin professional will apply a broad spectrum UVA/UVB, SPF 30 sunscreen to your skin. We recommend a chemical-free sunscreen. Keep in mind that you should continue to use sunscreen everyday.
General guideline:
Days 1-3: Gentle cleanser only, no actives (retinol, acids, vitamin C), avoid direct sunlight, avoid swimming. (first 24 hours post treatment avoid strenuous activity) It is a good idea to have a clean pillow case.
Days 4-7: You may slowly reintroduce mild skincare if the skin feels calm.
After day 7: Physical exfoliation (scrubs) can usually resume - only if there’s no redness, peeling, or sensitivity.
